In short: for Christmas and New Year, LeDiamont delivers farmed Iranian caviar (Beluga, Ossetra, Sevruga, Baeri) and Sargol saffron anywhere in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Your parcel travels chilled and arrives in 1 to 2 working days. For delivery before Christmas, order by Tuesday 22 December 2026 with PostPac Priority, or by Wednesday 23 December with Swiss-Express “Moon”, in line with Swiss Post deadlines.
Why order your holiday caviar in Switzerland
Caviar is a fresh product that must stay between −3 °C and +3 °C until it reaches your fridge. Ordered from abroad, a parcel goes through customs and can lose days outside the cold chain, at the busiest time of the year. Our stock is in Switzerland: no customs, no surprise fees, chilled dispatch with Swiss Post and a tracking number by email.
Which caviar for Christmas and New Year’s Eve
- Beluga AA®: large grey pearls, soft and creamy. The caviar for big occasions, best enjoyed on its own.
- Ossetra: medium brown to golden pearls with nutty notes. The best balance for a festive dinner.
- Sevruga: small pearls, intense and briny. Perfect on blini.
- Baeri: round and approachable, ideal for an apéritif or canapés.
All our caviar comes from farmed sturgeon and is imported with the required CITES documents. Tins range from 30 g to 1 kg, from CHF 57 for 30 g of Baeri. See all prices in our caviar price guide.
How much caviar to plan
For a tasting, allow about 30 g per person; for canapés, a little less. Our guide how much caviar per person helps you calculate the total for your guests.
When to order so it arrives on time
- Delivery in Switzerland and Liechtenstein in 1 to 2 working days.
- Christmas: until Tuesday 22 December 2026 (PostPac Priority), and until Wednesday 23 December with Swiss-Express “Moon”, which delivers before 9:00 the next morning.
- New Year’s Eve: until Wednesday 30 December 2026, with PostPac Priority or Swiss-Express “Moon”.
- Around Lausanne, from Morges to Montreux, orders of 500 g or more can also be handed over in person, free of charge.
An unopened tin keeps for several weeks in the coldest part of the fridge, so you can order in early December and relax. More tips in our guide how long does caviar last.
Serving caviar during the holidays
Serve caviar very cold, in its tin on crushed ice, with a mother-of-pearl, horn or wooden spoon. Taste it plain first, then on homemade blini with a little crème fraîche. All our tips are in how to serve caviar.
