Frequently asked questions
What makes Beluga caviar so special?
Beluga comes from the great sturgeon Huso huso, which takes about 20 to 21 years to mature, far longer than other species. Hence its large, delicate pearls, creamy taste and higher price.
Is the Beluga caviar farmed?
Yes. LeDiamont sells only caviar from farmed sturgeon. It is imported into Switzerland with the required CITES documents and kept chilled in Switzerland until dispatch.
Which tin sizes are available?
From a small 30 g tin to try, up to a large 1 kg tin for events and restaurants.
How is the caviar delivered?
We ship it chilled with Swiss Post, in an insulated box with ice packs. Delivery takes 1 to 2 working days anywhere in Switzerland and Liechtenstein; you choose the service (Economy, Priority or Swiss-Express) in the cart.
How long does it keep?
Unopened, in the fridge between −3 °C and +3 °C, a tin keeps from a few weeks up to about three months; the date on the tin applies. Once opened, enjoy it within 48 hours.
